December 2003

Our official Christmas picture was taken at home.

We selected this one mostly because the cost of many copies for Christmas cards was cheap compared to professional portraits copies.

This picture is a combination of a couple pictures (so that both kids were smiling with eyes open). Then Rebekah's shoes were cropped out and some other corrections next to Rebekah's left arm were done. All courtesy of Grandpa Jerry.

We spent Christmas in Columbus at our house on Garden Road while the rest of Todd's family went to Canton. So we had no one else to take pictures and we forgot.

September 2003

We spent Labor Day weekend in Canton. Grandpa Jerry has a large garden as well as an apple tree, and pear trees.

She has now moved to picking corn while eating her pear.

Which one would Snow White pick?

Rebekah's 2nd Birthday

Isn't this a face you want to kiss??

Rebekah is licking the bowl for her cake still in her PJ's (she had been sick).

Since she felt better, we met Grandma Liz down at the outlet mall to buy Stride Rite shoes. With 2 little ones, I'm sure glad I had mom's help!

July 2003

The kids and I settled into a routine. Don't I look tired?

Todd was still looking for a job after being laid off when Nathaniel was 3 weeks old. Thank God! It was the only way I was able to get a break from the crying.

Nathaniel had to be dehydrated as well as in pain. He cried more tears than the formula he drank would allow. He hardly drank anything compared to most babies at this age. Each Dr visit he was in the 10th percentile but otherwise healthy.

Rebekah learned to entertain herself while I struggled with Nathaniel. And Nathaniel began to be more comfortable and less in pain.

Please push me....

We hosted a July 4th cook-out for our homechurch and friends.
Our yard was soooo great for shade! It was such a hot day.

Most in homechurch came, Todd's student Jack Fulks came with his wife and kids. The Amons came with their 1 month old. He was born on Todd's birthday exactly a month after Nathaniel.

June 2003

Rebekah is a great big sister. She likes to entertain and feed Nathaniel. That is when he's not screaming.

Rebekah liked to put her sunglasses
on her head like Grandpa Jerry.

That annoying bike! Rebekah loved play the 3 songs over and over again! Especially the pony one.

Rebekah loved to swing. Grandpa Jerry taught her to pick black raspberries in our backyard. She loved them!

May 2003

Nathaniel Andrew Whittaker - approximately 3 weeks old.

Nathaniel was easy up to this point. But you can see from his face that he was not a happy baby. We were soon to find out that he had Acid Reflux and was in pain most of the time. He hated to sleep during the day and had some trouble getting to sleep at night. But once asleep he slept soundly.

Great Grandma Ruth came to visit from Arizona.

Wow the view up here!!

Daddy time!!
