Today is Cowboy Day

Daddy and Aunt Lisa found Uncle Dan's old Cowboy vest at Grandma's house. They both wanted Nathaniel (Dan's mini-me) to have it. Today Nathaniel decided to dress up like a cowboy with the vest and the cowboy boots we got him while visiting Dan in Texas. We didn't have a cowboy hat so Nathaniel decided to wear his Indiana Jones hat. Close enough, I guess.

Peek-a-boo... with new quilt

It's about time

Allison's finished quilt!

School Halloween parties

Allison made an appearance at Rebekah and Nathaniel's halloween parties. It was too crazy to take any pics of the kids with Allison.

Greedy Girl

Binky in one hand, pen in another, cracker in mouth. Allison refused to put something down so she could "take a bite" of the cracker.

New Cabinets to explore

Allison was with us today and delighted in exploring our cabinet.

I need to remind Nathaniel to clean out his nails more often!

Big Boys get big owies

Nathaniel and Josh were chasing each other at recess. Josh tripped. Nathaniel tripped on him head first. He scraped his forehead, cheek, shoulder, and knee.

Rebekah's BD slumber party

We invited some friends to spend the night to celebrate R's 8th birthday. I wanted to start small so we invited 6 girls. Only 4 could make it and only 3 stayed the night. Nathaniel went to beloved Noah's house. That was a great idea and made the sleep over much, much easier without a pestering little brother around.

Our first event was FOOD! We had pizza from Papa Murphy's with a little bit of mushroom on a corner for Nadia (she's very particular about her pizza). We also had pretzel sticks (which became weapons (see below), cheetos, grape pop, root beer. We planned to have ice cream cake and S'mores later. I had warned most parents that their girls may return as diabetics.

After eating the girls went outside... Nadia and Mae hit apples out into the garden.

Rebekah and Grace sat and ate the ice cream cake. Then swang for a bit.

Later Todd lit the fire in the fire pit and I discovered what a pyromaniac Grace is.

Grace and Mae tried the tree swing in the dark.

Nadia pulled the sled around (in the dark) and Kaitlyn just hung upside down.

The girls watched Alvin and the Chipmunks followed by Joshua in PJs. They were hilarious to watch acting out and dancing to the chipmunk songs. And of course we had to use our 5 second replay button to watch the fart scene about 10x.

I sent them upstairs to our guest room at 11:30. I think they settled down about 12:30. Although, there were several complaints that Rebekah was talking and keeping them awake. (Big surpise, huh?)
